A first PhD for LISC at June graduation

LISC student Thomas Matingwina was awarded his Doctor of Philosophy degree at the UCT graduation ceremony in June. This is a first for the LISC department in its current form. We congratulate Thomas on his achievement, and we hope that this is the first of many PhDs to emerge from our growing and dynamic department.

Savvy Researcher Series

Hosted annually by UCT libraries, the Savvy Researcher is a collective series of seminars and workshops aimed at postgraduate students. The series targets all aspects of the postgraduate experience, covering numerous topics that feed into the research cycle.
 
The Savvy Researcher Series will make its 2015 debut on Thursday 5 March 2015 and run for the rest of the semester every Thursday from 15h00 – 16h30 in the Ulwazi training room in the Chancellor Oppenheimer Library.​​
