LISC PhD students' posters take honours at Research Week

Our prizewinning posters

LISC doctoral students Michelle Kahn and Richard Higgs were both awarded prizes for the posters that they presented at the Postgraduate Research Expo held during UCT Research Week in April.

Michelle's poster, titled Research data management in South Africa: how ready are we? won third prize in the 'Africa-specific research' category, and Richard's poster, Boundaries of the Digital Curation discipline, won third prize in the 'Commerce, Humanities and Law' category.

LISC Head of Department, Professor Jaya Raju expressed her delight that the discipline of Library and Information studies was well represented and recognised at the Research Week, and that the profile of the Department continues to expand in the UCT academic community.
